Child Safety Day at Alexandria Bay School

ALEXANDRIA BAY, NY- Children are our most precious gift and keeping them safe is everyone's job. Coast Guard Station Alexandria Bay and their law enforcement partners welcome the general public to Child Safety Day at Alexandria Bay School on Monday, May 22, 2006 between 9am and 2pm. The Coast Guard, New York State Department of Criminal Services, Jefferson County Emergency Management, Alexandria Bay Fire Department and many other agencies will be on hand to to provide information and demonstrations throughout the event. 

Highlights of the Child Safety Day will include a US Coast Guard HH-65 helicopter, ADT Security's "McGruff, the crime dog", Coast Guard Auxiliary Child Boating Safety information, the Jefferson County fire safety trailer,  police K-9's and many more safety orientated events. 

Safety is job one, whether it's on board a boat, at home, on the job or at school. Child Safety Day will provide everyone with information and insight to help everyone have a safe and enjoyable summer, on the water or where ever you are.
